There are three basic parts to the plan we developed, all of which have detailed explanations on this website. The three parts are—
- A place to live. We have hooked up with the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness to eradicate homelessness in our state, which is very possible and likely to happen!
- A job. Legislation is needed here, and a re-evaluation of existing poverty and jobs programs. The minimum wage needs to be examined as well, and job-related health insurance as well.
- A quality education. This includes universal pre-K programs, professional development for teachers on teaching students in poverty, and Community Schools, (which also include health care clinics and much more).
In addition, criminal justice reform is needed.
